Installation Instructions

Extract the downloaded file to the following directory (Make sure to retain the folder structure, i.e. full path names):

Windows 2000/XP: %UserProfile%\My Documents\Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul\
Windows Vista: %UserProfile%\Documents\Savage 2 - A Tortured Soul\
Linux: ~/.savage2/
OS X: Feel free to PM me the path for the Savage 2 User Directory so I can put it here...

Description: This is a compilation of my improvements so far and all should be up-to-date. This is far from the package I eventually want it to be as I eventually plan on having options to easily add/remove parts of the package as well as editing settings. So don't expect wonders with this first release.

Features:
  • Minimalised standard game and commander interfaces.
  • Cooldown counter for spells on both standard and commander interfaces.
  • HUD for the standard game UI that supplies more central statistics about you and your enemy.
  • Building + Spell panel on Commander's UI separated so you can have both up at the same time.
  • Bottom Bar for both game and commander interfaces that displays more information in a smaller amount of space.
  • More consistant chat between interfaces that works much more seamlessly.
  • Maintains old loadout style but is updated with more information and tools.
  • Easier officer command system.
  • Includes Klepto's pad.

Looks great so far. Bits I especially like are the simplified pet controls, donate button on the spawn screen and the tool tips when the maps loading. Those 3 things should come as standard IMO

Great work, especially the petbar! Can't wait to get to play with it. It's not possible to add your own icons (for the petbar), or am I wrong on that one?

Would it be possible to edit the commandermenu in a way that allows easier squad-handling? Like displaying playernames instead of big portraits.

I like those health+manabars you got there

I have been using the pet one and its totaly cool, I love the work mate.

That Game UI is looking sweet. the Bomerang style hp/mana is the sytle I love. had it when I played wow for abit, makes it so much quicker to read, cant wait to try it.
If your taking idea's, I would say if you could move the Player gold/Team gold, and Game timer to just the left side of the mini map, that would be cool, then you could pritty much nuke that top bar, would make it feel nicer. Instead of kind looking like your playing in window mode.

If you need a tester for any of it I would be happy to give it all a try and give ya feed back/bug reports on it.

Edit: Does the hp bar change color to red when it gets below 20% say ?

Its look awesome I cant wait to use this.
One point is the HUD might be more centered with the character.

Would you mind if once launched I'll add some things (I'm a 3d/2d artist) with your permission and of course your name as the developer.
