Hello Mercenary,

it seems that the link to the Savage 1.5.1 doesent work anymore. Everytime i try to use it it links me to the latest Version of the game. I already got that one (think its 1.7.2) but i need 1.5.1 for the editor...anywhere else i can get it?

I'll have to check around. If the file is no longer available anywhere public, I'll get it uploaded somewhere so you can grab it.

ok so info people might find useful:

-Most of the game textures are in .DDS (direct draw surface) format in the "textures-(high/low/med).s2z" archive. This holds the 'skin' files for pretty well all savage 2 models.

-http://getpaint.net/ apparently has DDS support built in! and it's 'free'. I have yet to try it's functionality, but here's hoping it can import/export in a way savage 2 can understand.

Best tools for DDS work are the nvidia DDS tools. You can get them on nvidia's website.

Default ...

I would like to mess around with the map editor, but before that I would ask a few questions. This http://savage2.s2games.com/download.php in the first post, links to the main download site of Savage2. Is this link outdated, or does that page still give version 1.5.1?

Also, I take it that I have to install this version in a different folder then my current Savage2, if so, Will it create a second registry entry? For I hate games that still have only 1 file in "Uninstall Program"/"Software" when I want to get rid of it. (Like Mount&Blade, You can have 5 versions, but you can only de-install one of them, the rest must be manually deleted)

Last, Will maps that I make with this 'Outdated' ... no, Ancient Savage2 version work with only that version of M&B (,I mean, Do I have to test any map I make with 1.5.1.) Or will it work with the most recent one as well?

Fileplanet: Savage2Install-1.4.1-win.exe
Bigdownload: Sav2.1.7.3.exe
Fileplanet: Sav2.1.7.3.exe
Games On Net: Has a lot of different versions. Inducing 1.5.0.

But, I see 1.5.1 nowhere.

Thanks in advance.
