you stack enough speed with frenzy (4), big armor should be allright

EDIT: since you mentioned being out of stamina a lot probably means that you did not "master" your movement yet
saying 5% reduced speed won't make much of a difference for you

One thing though if you could clarify, in the gear section of the post, you just wrote down pots, not what pots.
Im guessing you mean stamina pots, as ive mentioned them in my post, or is it mana, due to what you said bout the lack of mana being a very bad thing.

Anyway, Ino's advices have covered everything you need to know in theory.

About your question regarding armor... That's absolutely dependent on how you want to play. Personally I like to get Stone Hide only very late in the game when I play mostly Predator and not with Hunter. It obviously let's you tank some more damage. But if you focus more on movement in combat you should probably just stick to Tough Skin and/or get Trinket of Restoration which heals and buffs your armor for some (20?) seconds.

Oh, and Ino is talking about Healing Potions

Listen to what Ino said, he's by far the best player in this thread and his advise is the most sensible, also take HP pots, the rest are kinda useless except if you're playing a healer class. Lastly, never pop wingspin while in 1v1 because anyone who knows what they're doing will totally own you. (Although you can use it to finish off your opponent because it doesn't suffer from the cd between hits)

Get light armour 80% of the time, with any unit (if you use armour at all)

The only tip I think of for a hunter is that their swings are wider to the sides than they are in the front. So on your first attack for instance (which swings to the left), if you spin slightly to the left, you will be able to hit farther in front of you. This is true to a lesser extent for the conjurer too.

Other than that, frenzy can stack like crazy if you are fighting a group (since you get a speed buff for every hit). If you can adapt to the speed changes, and also fight very fast, you can mow down a group pretty well. At its best it has the largest attack radius and fastest attack speed of any normal unit.

if you want to play dedicated hunter you need a build with some str and intel but you want agi primarily and endurance secondary. Also for dedicated hunter all 3 maliken items are a must. I usually play SS til about either level 3-4 or frenzy which ever happens first. I remember when hunters started with frenzy and poison was unlocked with tech, they were way op back then starting with frenzy.

Like everyone else says movement is key, especially with hunter. Also use your envirement, utilize bushes to block range since hunters have non, just have to play smart.

I have the most fun with hunter i would have to say, they are the best mid tier group combat unit. 1vs how ever many can be done with hunter specially if you have a few nubs to feed on while fighting the good players, keep the souls coming in to reap the rewards of maliken items.

Hunter is fragile, with good reach and speed. It's buggy easy to hit around blocks too.

Just keep moving. Don't block, just dodge. Don't trade hits, aim for the butt. Butts can't block.
