I hope you planned in a more longterm solution than this though. In other words, IP circumvention.

I would suggest making an offer for him revealing his secret in exchange for being unbanned.

I already have the IPTABLES fix. I've said that twice in this thread. This crash is different. Banning flexedblaze is a temporary stopgap measure to keep improved stability of the server... which seems to be working so far, or whoever it really is, is taking a break to make it look like it was him.

Do you have iptables changes setup permanently? Many distros flush iptables on reboot. iptables --list to check.

Like a straight up hard crash? No RPO or anything?

The server is restarting, over and over. In the middle of the map. If it crashes between maps, it's an S2 fail. But this is happening in the middle of a map, and it's a relatively new failure. And it happens at times when someone is likely to want people to go play on a different server.

Like this, in the middle of a game on a full server:

[22:32:21] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [40/40|ancientcities] Sintax killed lasagne7
[22:32:21] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [40/40|ancientcities] Lionheart95 killed blastocyst
[22:32:23] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [40/40|ancientcities] IISmidgetII killed Bahamut0
[22:32:24] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [40/40|ancientcities] Insomianc killed LobsterKing
[22:32:26] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [40/40|ancientcities] [EVENT]: Server was restarted...
[22:32:28] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [40/40|ancientcities] [PHASE]: Warmup

After this, flexedblaze tries to join among all the other players rejoining.

Server gets back up to 27 players right away and a game gets going, until...

[22:36:40] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [27/40|deadlock] ghostshell killed MajorLozer
[22:36:42] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [28/40|deadlock] ghostshell killed Masterarms
[22:36:47] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [27/40|deadlock] [EVENT]: Server was restarted...
[22:36:48] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [27/40|deadlock] [PHASE]: Warmup

Then, players still try to rejoin, so the crasher makes sure no one wants to get back on and crashes it again...
[22:43:18] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [03/40|eden] [EVENT]: Server was restarted...
[22:47:39] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [00/40|moonlight] [EVENT]: Server was restarted...
[23:13:40] [&phpSavageBot-3]: [00/40|crossroads] [EVENT]: Server was restarted...
