Default S2 team please answer - € currency on Steam.

Did S2 Games agreed to change the price from $9.99 to €9.99 for the whole Europe? Or did just Valve (Steam Store) changed it on it's own, because right now every European is screwed with 15%-30% higher prices on steampowered.com

Does this "currency change" was even approved by you to let them sell Savage 2 for €9.99?

Please respond, it would tell us more about Valve policy.

Here's official news:
http://store.steampowered.com/news/2110/

As you can see Savage 2 is €9.99:

Could Brits please check how much is it in the UK?

The game is suppose to be free........ so maybe if you pay 9.99 you get a premium account?

Yes, that's obvious. I want to know if S2 has anything to do with the currency change.

The standard account is FREE that's for sure, this is a premium account purchase.

AFAIK it's Valve that did the $=€ conversion. It's dumb as hell :(

It's not S2s fault but Steams. They do it on purpose with other games as well. Looks like I'm gonna buy more boxed games in the future since Steam is no longer the cheapest.

If you don't live in the U.S. then Steam will rip you off anyway. Everything is more expensive at Steam then buying the same thing in a game store. Plus, don't forget to add the tax as well (this amount varies depending on the country you live in).
lol @ Steam

Not really, I had some great deals in the past when paying in USD.

I only have Steam on my computer (begrudgingly) so I can play Portal. I wouldn't dare use it to play any online Valve game. Too intrusive.

I've even gone so far as to order my software firewall to forbid Steam from ever accessing the internet.

Steam sets the prices on it, users can still upgrade to a prime account with us for $9.99 US
