I honestly don't like the prerequisite idea Merc. First because it's confusing (how are players going to know which point to capture next ?) but also because it takes away the "freedom" Savage 2 offers by making it a simple tug-o-war like you said.

Yeah I was thinking so, for now I'll make a simple gameplay, control points are spawns and game time around 20 mins or something, after that I'll see how it plays out and what changes should be made.
I really liked Petzi's idea, each control point represented a building (one for nexus/armory, another for sanctuary/monastery and another for predator/academy), when you control the point you gain acess to what it offers, obiously only one team can control a point at a time. Maybe also having some garrison/sublair control point around the map where you can spawn.
I think this gameplay really gives a very personal twist to the regular gameplay ! The objective could even be the normal "destroy the enemy main building", your team gained for each control point captured maybe ?
Either way, any ideas and suggestions are more than welcome !
