Default Exact same

I have the exact same issue, game has been working well from release up to patch 1.3.2 now i get d3dx9_34.dll not found error, shame as I was hoping to play it aswell :(

I'm guessing because of the introduction of this error after the patch and people with the same problem that it is the patch at fault and would like to know when it is likely to be solved please

Can confirm after reinstalling direct x runtime components the game now seems to work as normal (Zing provides link in another thread but ill reiterate)

Link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/t...displayLang=en
FileSize: 64.1 MB
Installation procedure:
Upon running it it will ask you where to extract files, go ahead and extract them anywhere as they can be deleted afterwards.
Once extracted look at where they were placd and find setup.exe, following the on screen prompts from here will reinstall direct x runtime components.
Then try the game again and good luck

Hope this works for everyone otherwise ill have no one to play with hehe

Did you try reinstalling off the Microsoft site with the link provided in the sticky?

Excuse me, but I have the same problem, and it is NOT THE SAME ONE as the aforementioned problem, as azim assumed. It is a "Fatal Error - Couldn't load vid_d3d9", not "couldn't find xxxx.dll". There is no "file" error. It simply says it couldn't load vid_d3d9, and specifies no file extension. I installed the game, and confused by the Direct X installer popping in my face, declined. Then, after reading the sticky, installed the Direct X runtime off Microsoft, which did nothing to help. I then uninstalled the game and reinstalled, this time accepting the Direct X setup. Nothing. Finally I reinstalled in a completely different folder, still nothing.
